Just returned from my first tour this year - The Channel Islands -
I arrived at the airport fresh from the TIFF and in line with Lucas Bryant - I swear it was him, he went to Sheridan..I do wonder his age :)

The tour went well, they all tipped so that is a good sign:) definitely a fun place, would go back especially in the summer. I know for sure I couldnt do this as my only paycheck; now I am unpacking to pack for the next one - spain, benidorm-

Think I need sleep, today seems to be filled with waves of anxiety and anger or rather irritation with no real cause - anyhoodle:)

my stove is acting up - so kijiji here I come.

28 plus ten = present reality

mmmmmh , never thought I'd be here like this in this doing this wearing this eating this avoiding this and being this - but then again I broke my crystal ball years ago - 14 to be exact :)
even though Steve Carrel and my love Paul Rudd kept me hungry and that I hurried to date but was defiled, I moved on to laughed it off with liquid cocaine and a few good fun friends and then ate with wurm and raw fish! I am looking forward to the 3rd annual summer party, feeling stress of lots of things on the go but somehow feeling unproductive.... mmmmh how does that work - but The Tatare may be taking me on and helping to establish my HHOTG business in the new year. so much to do so little time - and the TIFF woohoooo cant wait - volunteering for the first time!
ooooo and I am no a part of the BB network - hhahah they actually called on my bday and offered me a free one- um ok why not ! :) now if I could just get my money backed from those owing things would be almost perfect...btw ... wear did I put him, and the ring, I still cant find it.... hhhmmm but I have been told it is in my aura - jillybean likey!!

missed a month....

I was a lil worried but not anymore; so here we are again - AUGUST - the month of good and bad :) I have almost finished the Buffy Series, and working on catching up with Dexter. This August long weekend was filled with tubes and water, singing and nature :) We camped at Elora Gorge, a lil over and hour away and filled with everything that is not urban. Tubing is sooooo much fun, there are rushes and cowpoke times, but as you float by the trees and waterfalls, caves and wildlife you are given time to reflect and to rest. I love campfire, the flickers the smell oooo and we got some 'magick' that made the flames all blue and green and purple, it was very :)

The past 8 months have flown by, we the past decade has actually...... somehow i misplaced about 5 of those years, and so with no way to get them back I gotten step up my game. Its all been good and no regrets buuuuuuuut since time is what it is i feel the need to jump back on my wave instead of making sure others are---- and hopefully find a way to incorporate both.

is there any way to be a ghost hunting closet organizing life coaching talent managing film producing stand up host.....?

G28

So..... I feel I should say something but its not that much fun without a live audience :)
heres to sum it up :
I think Toronto did great, the fact that it was here was fine, but of course the price tag was stupid, however in regards to the protesters, well hey no one forced you to go downtown, you knew the possibilities and consequences, or if you didnt, well that too is still your choice, as for your detentions centres... your whining about it all was just to make more noise as well, many behind the scene reasons for all that went down, our policemen did great, and i could never imagine being one of them, so hats off... or should i say riot helmets off to them all , oh yeah and lets not forget that many people from OUTSIDE of our fine city and country came here and damaged it - they should be the ones cleaning it up!
now on to some fun stuff - dont ever ever ever see queen of the damned ... just read the book!
and if you want to see a great movie take a peek at Lucky Number Slevin !!!

pizza pizza lil silver clutch

So I cant wait to re read this in the future:
I was casually driving and at a set of lights I see a gentleman waiting to cross. He has a summer hawaiian shirt jeans shorts a baseball cap a red bookbag; then I see that there is a smaller item hanging form his shoulder, I don't think about it but I recognize it to be a lil silver clutch. It doesn't really phase me as perhaps he is carrying it for someone or perhaps it was a camera case and the lovely sun is compromising my sight. As he crosses in the street, I feel like something is off, I look, and look again until it makes itself clear, he's not wearing jean shorts ... its a jean skirt! :) and so the silver is a clutch! :) I look to see if anyone else sees this and no it doesn't bring alot or any attention, except mine of course !
I love this city!!

that was then this is now

Alot of reunions the past couple of weeks. It does the soul good to be in touch with times of old every once n a while. Be it funny or touching, bitter or silly, its part of us :)
There has been a myriad of creations in the form of thought to page - I came out unscathed as my brain doesn't have the best ability to take on task like that, now brainstorming, that is one of my fav parts of projects.
I also wonder where he is? Ah the Curzon, I thank you in advance.
Its amazing that 15+ years has gone by and that friendships are still moving forward. Its so exciting to wonder what the next will bring.

Saturday Night Fever

Had one of the best Saturdays in a long time!, weekends are usually fun and full of stuff or downtime but Sat May 8 is officially in the top ten :) It went from dawn til near dawn and was chalk full of some really loverly people. The day started with a reiki practice circle moved on to a wonderful hotdoc, that showed me once again how important love can be. From there I made way to a uniquely wonderful couple whos smokey trick left me yearning for a nap and a billetlog. A nap did occur and the billetlog was replaced with the yummy M&M peanuts :) So, the barwear was picked, the face was donned and my lucky red coat did the trick! The ladies and I made way to our local and festivities rang true til the wee hours. There was a lil bit of the world in there that night, but the fav might have been the Dutch. Its funny how 'moments' occur and I am getting much better at recognizing them and taking that moment to be in the moment. I am blessed and Thankful

by the light of the silvery moon

My project to create daily continues taking on many a different form. Today was no different, I was motivated to work on a lil something for the moon and as I enveloped myself in words and lougled for songs I became entranced and time was still. I became aware of its completion as a slight smile crossed my eyes. Ah Gary, my lovely xmas puppy how you egg me on:) Thank you M.
Completed another day on set :) good times! Last night was girls night out - it was filled with tarot cards, auras and a few good laughs. I am blessed :)

Josh by Gosh

Here is a story one of the best Friday stories I have heard in a long time, and so it is a must share.
It was a seemingly easy and undaunting task , pick up a birthday cake. So the loving sister and boyfriend drive there and he hops out to get it while she double around. He gets to the counter and says "picking up a cake for Lori" and the young filipino asks for a receipt , which was in the car being doubled around and he replies, "I don't have it" so he ask what does the cake say and he replies " Happy Birthday Josh" and the young worker shakes his head "thats not what it says",( which of course causes a moment of complete confusion as it is a birthday cake for a friend named Josh), and with a slight pause he asks " What kind of cake is it", this the boyfriend knows and so the cake is awarded. Through the plastic box top, only to add more fun to this experience, low and behold the cake doesn't say Happy Birthday Josh, it says Happy Birthday Gosh! After the moment of pause and a shake of his head the boyfriend turns to the counter helper and says "it is not right", to his awe the employee retorts with " Yes it is" , the boyfriend then sees a slightly older caucasian boy to help confirm that Gosh is wrong and Josh is actually spelt with a J. With the cake fixed and the car waiting the boyfriend finally leave and the cake is safely and correctly delivered to its honouree.

And yes I really did enjoy JCVD - he can act , he really really can 4/5 beans!!!

clear nailpolish

So last week I found myself with different company and so that gave way to new shows which created new addictions --- thank goddess the newness wears off by the time the silly ending comes along, I am not sure I can fit Ghost Whisperer into my PVR slots. BTW Jennifer Love Hewitts eyelashes are ridiculous, seriously , they are bigger than her head, not her forehead though, that sucka is just taking up all the cranium space.

Construction work on the DVP, is still ongoing, like all city road construction, I liken it to clear nailpolish - you know it is going on you just dont see the difference.

Gamer - a Gerrard Butler vehicle - and a pretty good one at that. Generally not a bad movie, good action, not a bad story, takes the idea of Sims to a new level - the draw for me was a clip of a scene with "Dexter" and a dance sequence:) anyhoodle, boy and girl action fans will enjoy it - I give it 3/5 Beans

Hurry Hurry up aaaaand date!

So tonite was my first HurryDate event! I forgot my 'bow and arrow' but I think it went great, it definitely wasn't seniors :) Its going to make for a fun summer though..... and who knows what one will meet - teheheh. so April is a busy month of bdays eh , phew but also makes for reason to celebrate and come together. On sunday I completed my Reiki training. woohooo!! finally it has been so long but everything happens for a reason or as it should or well when one stops procrastinating. Now I shall use my powers for good...... maybe just a lil for the other !

This week I saw a series of 'straight to dvd' that i shall keep nameless for no one else really needs the pain, but if you of someone you need to mistreat or punish that I shall reveal them to you :)
I also saw Hot Tub time Machine-- very very funny, you will be a lougle fan afterwards :) -- so go and enjoy, then there was Date Movie , this to was great!! - I really love them both, Steve Carrel and Tina Fey, they did a great job, it really is a fabulous date movie for couples newly or contemplating marriage and those that have passed the 7yr itch. Dont forget your popcorn and stay for allllllll the credits.

A lil Jude and Ewan never hurt no one

Repo Men = not cars and houses, but body parts and organs. Jude Law and Forrest Whittaker play 'repo men ' for an organ transplant company. But what happens when you become your job?
Really good from beginning to end, it had fun action a good story line and no stupid lines. it was good to see Forrest Whittaker again and he was all in shape and sportin' game 'n stuff (subsequently I have seen him in 2 other shows, he must be making a comeback). I liked it all the way to the end, Momma K wasn't too thrilled with the ending but its all worth the Jude - thehehhe:) and it is shot in Toronto and you can see it all over the place - its a fun game to 'know the spot'.
So, Repo men gets 4/5 beans :) ps. its gets a lil gross so dont go on a full stomach!

Next was Ghostwriter - Roman Polanski's latest; Ewan Mcgreggor is an autobiographical ghostwriter and his next subject is the former British Prime Minister. His predecessor committed suicide... or did he.?
I really liked this film. I like how the it moves, I love the look, the acting, the story. This is a great film, it gives you something to think about and keeps your interest. Poalnksi's feel/look of the film is a chalky wash and it allow the characters to colour it up . So enjoy it and maybe check out other Polanski films. 4/5 beans.

side note : I hate to say it but if you haven't seen 'Monster in Law' with JLo and Jane Fonda. It is so funny, its really Wanda Sykes that gets the funny to an hilarious level but Jane really keeps up - Jlo is Jlo so whatever, but there are a couple of sincere and committed acting moments for her. oooo and I can't forget about Michael Vartan - yummy :) its a lil piece of fuzzy funny fluffy candy that even boys may enjoy , - give it a lick :) and for you married couples out there, it may offer tips on how to deal with yours :)

Ps - Sonic burger in the USA now has a burger with jalepeno poppers - hahahha "REALLY" ;) ReAllY!! what will they think of next , I am not saying stop btw :) !!

evening with friends

success, is it like beauty....?.... is it in the eye of the beholder?
So I still haven't heard from SNL.... but thats okay, they haven't gotten my petition yet :)
Next week I will be completing my Reiki 'master/teaching' level so will be looking for people to add up some 'clinical hours' on :) hint hint . It will be good to finally get it done so I can move forward and actually then 'do treatments, get clients and teach others :) !! hands on and here I go.

Todays was beautiful, some help gardening was done and a lil bar hopping add in a couple not so great movies and here I sit :) what did I watch - well the 1st was Standing Still , a young ensemble cast with the most notable actor being Colin Hanks or maybe James Van Der Beek --- btw is he gay? anyhoodle it wants to be a a smart witty fun movie and it does all right - you aint missing anything but also it didn't suck therefore watchable if it happens to cross your dvd player.
The other was Fakers..... a lil Art fodder never hurt :) not too bad, but like any movie you need to be in the right mood for it. Anyhoodle no need to run out for it or run from it - grab a drink and you are good to go :)and if you like the accents of the boys from the UK well this is a nice lil treat.

chocolate traffic

Tonite I went to see a friends play, community theatre in Oshawa and the play was called 'Unity'. it was a play that I was going to audition for but was called away to a lil job at the Olympics ;) She is a fantastic lady, just love her - she is such an inspiration for me, anyhoodle it just always great to feel inspired and motivated after a glass of wine and a fab chat with a friend. Cheers!
and I found my new love - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMH0bHeiRNg
and since I am so inspired by humour todays movie suggestion is Role Models!! Truly funny and for adults only :) Paul Rudd once of my many film hubby's and Sean William Scott are just delightful, they are a great comedic duo, the extraordinarily hilarious Jane Lynch is there as well and she doesn't like any BS; the fowl mouthed lil kid is the best thing since smooshed bananas ;) -ALC, its simple and easy but smart and well written - 4 beans all the way!!
Now we are heading into a long easter weekend which means lots of food, chocolate, children and of course traffic! woohooo. If you are not in an eastery mood then maybe you will check out the new release Date Movie or perhaps try 'Mysteriously Yours' dinner theatre.

So on tv last night was a slice of life telling the story of the worlds heaviest man who got married. He did it from the place where weddings usually end - his bed :) a new spin on destination weddings. His wife is quite attractive and she used to be with a friend of his - wowzer!! now thats one helluva triangle :)
April 14 is my first hosting gig... woohhooo !! lets mingle singles :) I cleaned today , a good dose of spring cleaning - its funny how that makes you feel productive.
During an afternoon walk I found a pamphlet for a painting class and a tarot class.... 2 things i have been looking for.... now if i could only find that winning lottery ticket ;)
Todays creation.... my home :) Todays movie .... in honour of the amazing full moon that can be see again tonite I suggest the movie The Howling - scary, dated, and totally fun !
And last but not least I must log on about Kirstie Alleys Big Life, her new reality show :) I want to work for her. I find her funny and actually a bit real; her 'cast' is pretty down to earth for LA and her assistants' trainee, well maybe I am watching just to see how long he lasts :) But all in all the show is a nice lil half hour of cushy fun that so far doesnt make my eyes bleed or my head hurt :) But really if anything I am wondering if it touches on Scientology or its celebrity centre at all...

rainy days and sundays

The most perfect day to be lazy and just 'be' at home. I love my PVR, because I really do love my tv and the PVR allows me to do all my errands, chores, work and fun stuff and still see all my shows, add to that the cherry of it all, fast forward button!!!
well today was filled with Dr Drew - man, these shows make me realize I am doing just fine :)
I do miss the days long ago when shows started with the school year, took a break on holidays, really hyped it up for sweeps and ended just before exams.... then the summer we could catch up on ones we missed or just re-watch the ones we loved! but the past few years or decade really it is all over the place, and the thing that is most frustrating is when the channel changes the show time or day !!?!! what is that all about - anyhoodle its all becoming like cable, 13 espisodes etc etc and that is fine... as long as it keeps up with that quality.:)
the only thing on my mind these day , in regards to tv, is .... Lost better not be hell..... there better be something more to all that crazy fun stuff than that.... deeply let down if that is true :)

hair and make up

I recently during a session of divination I was given an amulet ( not omelet :) of Spider Goddess;
She honours and encourages creativity... so each day I shall be creative in one form or another.
Today was on me, as noted above, warmly welcomed too which is always sweet.

I leave this, a line from a favourite movie of mine - if you guess it, you can watch it :)

Small Saturday

While away in the YVR I met many a people from many a land, and picked up quite a few new words or sayings; 2 of my favourites are: 1 = 'chocolate side' this is how the Germans refer to your good side or photogenic side :) the 2nd being 'Small Saturday' this too is from the Germans referring to Wednesday, a day which is popular to go out, drink and be merry, and since it's a weekday or school-night it's known as 'Small Saturday' :) its my new cool word, spread it around like wildfire ;) - 10 extra points if you guess that movie -
Marriage Ref..... I am waiting for them to do the celebrity version; when that happens remember where you read it first :) keep in mind it will be the stars that appear on other reality show, perhaps ones from rehab or apprentice... or better yet an episode where they only have 1 name i.e. Brad and Angelina perhaps Heidi and Spencer or even ... wait for it... Tom & Katie!

Now for todays Movie pick : Lars and the Real Girl - it will be a dark weird odd fav of boys and girls all over :) sit back, relax and every once in a while make sure your company is real :) Goddess, thanks for Canadian talent.

PVR, Jump scar and other things that make me giddy

I love love love my PVR!!!! It takes care of me on rainy Wednesdays and cozy Sundays, not to mention it knows what I like and keeps it updated and on hand til I return :) oooo what will I do if it ever goes away - anyone got a VCR - theehhhee.
so things going on ... oh Law & Order is on 20 years !! 20 years , so crazy , A loverly friend said once that I could find it on at any time of the day, and it is still true :D I actually used to call it A&E cause that is where I would find it usually. OOOO good times.
Why does slapping someone stop their freakout.....? does it really - I have never had that happen to me; not sure if that is because I have never lost it :) or because no one in real life actually does that.
now go and write to SNL telling them that I should guest spot on it for a 'really' segment. Go! :)
Heres some things to do in Toronto this weekend : Absolute Comedy, Canada Blooms, Toronto Comic-con or maybe an dinner at O'Noir.
Todays movie suggestion: ( I am still in my HC faze so please adjust your sets accordingly)
Jumper --- silly funny full of bad acting crazy dialogue and one of the best of the 'worst movie experiences' ever! Oh Christen Haydensen how I don't love thee :D

edit edit edit

There is too much of that going on in my head :) especially when it come to creative outlets, especially those that I really have a passion for and don't want to suck at, that can be stressful and stress causes zits.. never fun :D
sometimes I feel like champagne , a whole lotta good stuff inside and it just wants out... but be careful when opening it cause all the fun can just explode all over the place :) and then dries up on the floor, but in that same bottle, there is bubbles left to fill a pretty glass and to make a toast with.
So I think that kristen Stewart and Hayden Christensen should hook up - I figure 2 no talents might make a 1 talent....tehehe :)
Mood Movie for a lazy sunday evening = French Kiss with Kevin Kline ( love love love him) and Meg Ryan , in her good days, she actually plays a Canadian in the movie :) anyhoodle it is a RomCom and it is just filled with funny all over the place. The story follows thru & we care about the characters. So open a nice bottle of wine, break open the fromage and cozy up !
But for something on a different edge of humour try out The Good Girl with Jennifer Aniston & the lovely Jake Gyllenhal.

Random

so I think that Jorja Fox is one of the most unattractive women on TV, and IMDB is my second bestest friend. Today I have used my brand new Toastation Toaster-oven, very exciting and tasty; Thank you Ms A; I suggest cheese sandwiches loaded with hot peppers olives and franks hot sauce, sometimes throw in a hotdog too! make it golden brown on each side and eat. Last night was some very exciting karaoke, its fun when people say they don't want to, then are looking for the mic every other song :) loves it!! Good times:) HB MYLO
So on the tube is 12 Monkeys.. it truly is a fun movie especially now since it is quite old, 1995, you can see a few stars much younger. It sci-fi and quirky with a good story and solid performances. I feel this movie need to be seen more than once, and if you like it then there is a few other gems of the director - Terry Gilliam- for you to see.
Soon I will be seeing The Runaways, and I will admit I am scared - thehhee, Kristen Stewart, I don't believe there is any hope for her, but I am seeing it on cheapy night so 5$ is worth almost any movie.
Oh yeah so SNL has a skit now where they discuss pop topics and 'Really' them....... um that is my schtick , ask anyone , ask the Swed or the Germ or the Wurm... they know, so I say " Really SNL, do you Really think its Really yours.. or maybe its true and I Really should guest star in the skit, Really - for real :) !!! whos with me !!?!!

and now introducing........

Toronto's newest Hurrydate Host, now me and the other lovelorn's of this fine city can caucus and mingle! hey planning parties, being a hostess with the mostess and a lil bossy ; bring it on!! and I learned from the best - momma Tredenick - so anyhoodle we shall see how it goes... yeah I am curious too :) Today I saw a pink Miata with a lil USA flag on its antenna - funny. And a friend from a lifetime ago popped into my head as I was falling a sleep.... interesting to see if she does accept on facebook. Now for a movie review; on my flight home from the Olympics I watched the movie 'Invention of Lying' and it had me from credit roll, til about half way when it got really religious - I dont think he (Ricky Gervais) likes God very much... or if imitation is the highest form of flattery then he loves God a lil too much , not sure which is scarier:) or maybe he just loves himself; but it had a fun cast and a few great surprise guest spots and a cute idea, a bit witty and pretty, so give it a go but don't miss anything fun because of it and don't spend too much - hey if you have a coupon thats the way to go! I love coupons by the way.

My Cherry

Welcome to the first of many blogs about thoughts, movies and other things that go bump in the night.

For starters, I am watching TMZ and they have video of Kristen Stewart in JFK and one of the Paparazzi fell as he was chasing her and she let out this shriek of laughter and it was the most emotion I have ever seen from her...am I the only one :)
I love all things Hollywood, why I dont have my own sitcom I am not sure, but hopefully thru this I will find my answers - we can explore together.
For opinions , 'Bean Rating' and other critquing on TV and Films, come back often and I will keep you on the pulse of the newly released, must see's and the 'at you own risk' .
I have a devlish interest in the paranormal and look forward to my first investigation. Its not because of Ryan Buell, but he definately doesn't curb it either.
